He has built programs, hired teams, modernized systems, managed facilities, developed partnerships and led a nationally recognized quality-assessment process. Every DOC engagement is personally led by Daniel, so the person whose judgment the school selects remains accountable throughout the work.

Daniel O'Connor is a sports leadership, talent and operations advisor with more than 20 years of experience across the United States and United Kingdom. His career has spanned teaching, coaching, aquatics, program leadership, governance and executive responsibility for complex K-12 athletics and physical education operations.
At the United Nations International School in New York, Daniel spent nine years helping build a more inclusive, connected and future-ready athletics program, including five years as Director of Athletics and Physical Education. He led programs serving 1,500+ students, managed a $2.5M+ budget, developed 80+ coaches and staff, increased participation by 50% and generated $1.5M-$2M in incremental revenue through camps, after-school and weekend programming and partnerships.
Daniel's work has included program evaluation, strategic planning, coach and staff recruitment, workforce design, facilities and capital projects, technology modernization, communications, revenue growth, vendor strategy and global sports initiatives. He led UNIS through the NIAAA Quality Program Assessment, and NIAAA lists UNIS as a 2025 recipient.
Raised in Walsall, England, Daniel earned both his BA (Hons) in Physical Education and Postgraduate Certificate in Secondary Education from the University of Wolverhampton. His career later took him to Chicago and New York, giving him a practical understanding of British, American and international-school environments.
